How to rate artists/albums...

Post by Stonelion »

What settings do I need to put in to be able to rate artits and albums in there respective views. I get the rating stars as editable when I look ay my Playing list... but not in the Aritst or Album views.
In those views I can see the boxes for the starts, but they have no action associated with them.

The ratings are only editable in the Now Playing view. It takes quite a long time (relatively speaking) to build these editable stars so I decided it wasn't a good idea to put them in the other node views. Do you think there should be an option to enable them as well?

New version (4.2) has most feature requests fulfilled and many bugs fixed. Changes include...

- Fixed autoscroll only works when playing first track of album
- Fixed conflict between onplay and automatic refresh
- Changed child icons to match their parents
- Added "Last Fortnight" to Added node
- Moved page scripts to external files
- Fixed new images not copied to artwork folder
- Added options to prune Rating and Added nodes
- Added option to rate tracks using context menu

Please provide feedback, and remind me of any requests that have not be fulfilled in this release! :)

BrowseByArt visible upon MediaMonkey start

Post by Cosmosis »

First off, let me say how much I adore BrowseByArt! It makes finding and viewing albums in my ever-growing collection so much more managable.
I was wondering, though, is there a way to have BrowseByArt be visible by default upon starting MediaMonkey? I haven't seen such an option in the menu for it.
Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you like the script! :D

You could use Steegy's StartupNode script for this, or Teknojnky's TweakMonkey script. I will add this option to the next version though, so you could just be patient! :)

New version (4.3) hopefully has the bug fixed where a blank page is sometimes shown, even though the correct page has been produced.

Also, there is the option to specify a startup node.

When does this message appear? Are you using the latest version of this script (4.3)?

Album Art Browse

Post by atcopeland »

I have been looking for a player like mm for some time. I use Rhapsody To Go but I like the album art features I used to have in my old MusicMatch. I have gone through the MM forums and I'm still confused. Can I use MM for browsing and displaying my library by album art? If yes, how?? If not, is this a feature for the future that should make me get the lifetime upgrade purchase? Thanks --Tony--

For now MM Browse by art is supported via script, It is planned for next major release to be included natively inside MM.

hope you can help me:

¿how could i transform the "playing" node appearance into the same that uses the rest of browse-by-art nodes?

I know this could seem weird but i would need this.

If i can make another node that makes the same that the playing node but shows the way i like and coexists with the usual playing node that would be even better.

Thanks in advance
