Sleep-mode advanced shutdown modi

Post by KingKong »

Hey folks :D
Normally I don't use the shutdown feature from the sleep-mode, cause my pc is always on.
But now I'm in the USA, not my home country
And I wish I could choose not only the shutdown, would be really awesome if you could integrate also the other modes, hibernate, standby and also logoff and lock desktop.
Shouldn't be a prob to integrate this simply also shortcuts to this commands in the shutdown choose field...
thanks Kong

Speaking as a developer who's tried it; shutdown, restart and log off are all easy. However, standby and hibernate are more difficult because there's no simply API call to do it (that I've found). No idea about locking the desktop!

Certainly sounds like a useful wish though, especially the hibernate! :)

Yeah, my shortcut for hibernate links to: "%systemroot%\system32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState"
and for lock desktop:"%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation"
But I don't know a command for standby, if anybody could help?
