All individual artist names have changed to 'Various Artists'
MM5 5.0.4.2690 was running fine on my Windows 10 PC until this morning when I opened up to find all of my individual artist names have changed to read 'Various Artists' (image in link below). All the individual names are correct in the Artist listing on the LH side of the page, but in the expanded list all are shown as 'Various Artists'. I have tried rebuilding the database, but this doesn't help and I dread having to rename 2000 odd albums. Any suggestions?

You should be able to restore using Auto-Tag from Filename. You may have accidentally mass edited.

Thanks lowlander. I looked at 'Auto-Tag from Filename' but decided against it. Fortunately, I located an earlier version of the dB file and changed to it. Everything is now working as it should again.

You may have to use Update tags to save the changes back to the files as they may also have been updated.

To confirm this, you can view some sample files in Windows File explorer. In details view it usually displays title, artist, etc, from tags and you can select more tags to be displayed.
If what shows there matches Mediamonkey, then the tags are OK. If not, then you need to decide which is correct.
