Shared media vault with M

Post by ellegaard »

I've tested MM for a while and definently like it! But before I pay up, I've got a qustion: Can it do what I want it to?

I've got all the familie's music on our fileserver, so it can be reached from every computer in the house/wifi. But as I got a lot of music and not all it great, I would like us to share the ratings. But since we cant share the mm db this cant be done - or is there another way to do it?

Please let me know how to make a central media shared throughout the localnet.

It's possible to share the DB, read more here:

There is also a lot of info in the forum regarding this.
Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix Find More From Same - Custom Search. | Transfer PlayStat & Copy-Paste Tags/AlbumArt between any tracks.
Tagging Inconsistencies Do you think you have your tags in order? Think again...
Play History & Stats Node Like having your Last-FM account stored locally, but more advanced.
Case & Leading Zero Fixer Works on filenames too!

well, i've already tried that, but I get an access violation with more than one MM started. Is there anyway to avoid this?

I really don't know how to avoid it since I'm very bad at networking stuff. Perhaps you need to alter some read rights somewhere in your network?
