you can not download files with media monkey it is just a player and database organizer program.
just happens to be the best one out there too
but if you want free mp3's the only places i can think of would be the unknown or up and coming artist's some of them give out free mp3's of their songs.

further i often use google to search mp3 just enter the following:

followed by the name of song or artist you're looking for. Google isn't ILLEGAL, i don't know about the sites you may find.

The reason that MediaMonkey is just a player and a database organizer, it's why I just love it so much (and for many other reasons of course), it does its job fast and does it great. This is also one of the main reasons why I switched from MusicMatch. I just hate the idea of having a software trying to sell me music everytime it is connected to the internet.
