Error message on song change (address 00675969)

Post by Orca »

Hi!

I get repeated error messages whenever a song ends and a new song begins while MM is in minimized mode (no window open, just the icon in the sytem tray). This happens as every next song starts in the playlist. MM continues normally after the message, it does not crash.

I'm using the "Royal Gray" skin provided by some member of his board (many thanks for that one :) ). Now, for some reason, the error messages do not appear when I use a default skin (like Casino Orange).

I tried switching the output plugin to the standard DirectSound type, deactivated the popup notifiers, but it did not help.

I also got the message after I opened the help --> about box, closing it and minimizing MM to tray - bang, error message. No song was playing (pause mode) at that point. Really weird.

Im using Win XP SP2, Pentium M 1.4 Ghz, 512 MB, MediaMonkey 3.0.2.1134 (german language pack), some skins installed.

The error message specifically is:

"Access violation at address 00675969 in module 'MediaMonkey.exe'. Read of address 00000000."

Looks like our favorite one, the null pointer. Hope you can fix the problem. I'll continue using one of the default skins and see what's happening.

I'm just downloading the MM debug version, I'll try to get a report on this one.

Cheers,
Orca

Orca,

thanks. Try with debug version of 1134 and send a bugreport if it'll appear, please.

petr its the error in the thread for " all skinners you have more work to do / re do " in the artwork forum.

its the program not liking digitpanel.

the old skins all have that in the micro players ini file

in order to fix it all the skinners need to remove the digitpanel and use "type=text" instead, then adjust the fonts and stuff in that section of the ini file they removed the digitpanel code.

the default skin morten made and the zune skin nohitter151 did do not have text on the micro players . all my skins now have been fixed and the ones i did for trixmoto have been fixed by taking the digitpanel out of the ini files.

unless this is causing other errors in the program file of media monkey, it does not need fixed by the developers, only by the skinners.

now some one hit me i've been up for 2 days with 4 hours of sleep i can't get to sleep been trying all day. :o " is this room service? good then send up a bigger room "
