Only "View-Filter" gives slow nodes.

Post by Bex »

When adding a Filter containing some "filtering" all nodes are slow to use. I can understand that since an exclude SQL is added.
But If I add a "Filter" only containing a different view and not any "filtering". The nodes are still slow and that I can't understand since no extra SQL is added.
We're talking about 5-10 seconds to open a location node and 15-20 seconds to open the artist node.

Custom View slow even when no filter enabled

Bex,

Can I assume you're using 1173?
How many tracks in your collection?

Testing with a 7000 track collection with filters enabled, I observe no discernible delay.

Thx.

Yes, I'm using 1173. I have around 100.000 tracks in my library.
Testing this on a library your size, gives a unnoticeable delay.

On my big collection without any Filter applied. Opening nodes in the Location node is very quick. (They are instantly opened.)

You are right that a filter without any condition should be as fast as no filter. It will be fixed.
