thank you peke i been wanting this but since i did not get any help on my other script trouble i did not ask. thanks again.
If i am understanding this right.
you are saying to
" make a task in the task scheduler and start this with that task."
and we can make as many of the tasks we want to start with this script as long as we start different copys of this script.?
and we need to have a task to start media monkey first. at least one minute before the task to start this script?
i also see it does not shut media monkey down when the timer to close the script closes the script or am i wrong on that?
if i am right on all the above this will do wonders for streaming radio stations
Also for those of us that know it is not needed to say but those that are not sure of it then i am going to say i am guessing that we save the script as a vbs file?
and again if all the above is correct then my trouble with the other script is also fixed by this one. as i can start that one with a timer also.
and this will by far be the best thing i could have found because i am now using double playlists and running winamp on them so i can get multiple lists at certian times of the day. which media monkey could not do before.
so your little code is just the ticket i needed.

2. Yes as there is some issues regarding COM object creating when MM is not started prior to executing external Script.
3. Yes.
4. I hope so or at least bring it closer.
5. Yes, I didn't name it as it can be everything.

Booya!
Thanks Peke!
This is exactly what the doctor ordered. Damn this program is great!
One caveat for noobs like me trying to get this to work. The script must be saved as a .vbs file and .vbs files must be associated with either wscript.exe or cscript.exe located in the c:\winnt\system32 or c:\windows\system32 folder.
Now if someone could whip together a batch auto tagger this program would be perfect.
Thanks again!

Sure. I want to use this script to control two instances of MM. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe it is possible to have two instances of MM running with each instance's output directed to a separate sound card? I know this is possible with Winamp so I figured the same for MM. If so, then I would like to be able to use this script to launch a playlist for each instance. Yes, no..maybe?
No. As both Mediamonkeys will share same COM object
With Winamp it is possible as Winamp uses WM_MESSAGES directly to Winamp Windows Handle and not thru COM Object Service.
Why do you need two playlist played at same time?
I also use two sound cards but never in that manner.

OK I'm Using My Audio Monitor(See on My fan Page) to listen songs on second Sound card before I update now playing.
Well the besto solution I can come with is that someone make Script For MM that Will Export Demanded Playlist to M3U and then Start it thru Winamp Command line to be played on Second Sound Card.
It should not be to hard to make, but I must say that I'll be very busy untill 2.5 Alpha is out. So if you can wait till then we can see if there is way to do it.

Ah ok, the audio monitor won't work for independent playlists and MM instances. However, if the "Scheduled Playlist" script can be modified to generate an m3u playlist then it can be included in a batch file to play via a winamp command line. That would be sweet. Don't lose focus on 2.5 though. I'm also patiently awaiting the 'party' mode.
2.5 looks promising

Internet Radio Streaming Made Easy
the script in the first message is great.
only one thing made me mad.
i had to change about 200 scheduled tasks that were starting m3u lists for winamp and pls lists for jet audio to run on timers
boy did that take a long time.
but now this is more to my liking as i can delete half the files i have for my playlists and dont have to do double files like i was before, as in making lists with media monkey and exporting them.
i just use media monkey.
start media monkey and close it at end of day when i want the scripts to stop. they don't cause errors when changing from one to the other and that is the best thing i think for internet radio streaming.
now if i was a internet radio station this would be greater for me then it already is.
