MM4 RC bug?

Post by HDL »

I've gone back to MM3 and found this happens there also.

if listening to an online shoutcast stream that goes offline MM wll loop the last few seconds of the stream and there is no way to turn it off. MM also locks up and you can not close the UI. You must use task manager to kill it.

Reproduce:
1. Using a file menu open up a streaming URL
2. Listen for a minute
3. Take the sstream offline
4. MM will freeze.

if you need a stream to test against, I can provide one.

Thanks!

i believe this situation is due to the last part of the steam in the memory chips refuring to another file section and monkey is trying to find that section since the stream went off air. which might have caused it not to send the exit code to monkey.

just a guess but its done the same thing before on some songs which also had messed up codes.

Also, some streams (The Eagle Classic Rock, shoutcast) have a tendency to up their stream, which results in the task manager being called dozens of times a day. Is someone looking at this issue? Is there a workaround?
