beta version 4 error's

1st error

the trouble is still with the auto playlists is still there in beta 4 however i have found what is causing the auto playlists error.

to recreate the autoplaylist error do this.

make a new autoplaylist.
tell it to search for a genre
then tell it to search for that same genre in any other field.

then save the playlist.

when you look at the list you will notice there is some songs missing.

if you take that auto playlist and tell it to only look for the genre
the songs will show up.

to better under stand what i am doing with telling it to find the same genre in other fields. here is how i set my list up

called it
christmas.

told it to look for the songs with the genre of christmas.

then told it to look for the songs with christmas in anyother field.

reason being is that some songs like ava maria are played as instrumentals so i made them the genre of instrumental but i play them doing christmas also. so i put the word christmas in the comments tag.

but instead of showing the songs it does not oppiste it does not show the ones with christmas in the comments? and if christmas is in the title like white christmas then it seems to not show them also.

but when you remove the command to look for christmas in any other field then all the songs with christmas as a genre do show up?

not sure what is causing that?

2nd error

also beta 4 seems to have trouble with the copy to folder command.

but if i use the drag and drop to another folder in the my computer tree node then it will move them to the folder but not copy them?

not sure what is going on with that either.

3rd error.

now the play counter script that is to allow us to change the play count.
it is not allowing me to change the count to any number it only changes the count to zero? did you change this or is this really another bug?

To Error No 1:
Auto Playlist always link the conditions with an AND
-> Search for Genre Christmas AND for christmas in another field
-> not all track are shown!

It's not a bug, it's a missing feature (like IS NOT for Tempo, Mood, ... )

have another error to post about beta 4 and a script.

error 4.

the script for automaticly changing certian songs to play count of 0 when they are played and not letting them add to their play count.

does not work. the songs are now adding to their play count.

this makes me wonder if something is broken in the script command area?

this is strange but i think i got a handle on it.

lets do this.?

error 4 above now seems to be working again.

i believe it is caused on install when monkey does not over write a file properly.

why do i think that?

because after several lockup crashes of beta 4 (which i will tell about in another post.)

the error 4 above started working. so windows had to find an old back up of a file and rewrite the one monkey could not do?

i am not 100% positive about that but the crashes did seem to fix that error #4. I will keep checking it and if it is fixed i will not post about it again.
