album art missing issues are they mma?

Post by rovingcowboy »

I've seen some issues with album art and music players on other forums and they seem to think it is android's media server that is causing the art to be removed from some songs, they get techy with their answers but it cuts down to the media server not handling art if a certain pixel size.or file size or both. Nobody is sure which it is.?

updating what i found on missing art in mma since there are several posts over time of missing art on all mma devices, including at least 2 or 3 from me.
it seems to be an on going issue with every release of mma, wheather i do a clean install or over install, which is why i started looking around the web for others with the same issue. you will see several posts from me in the different beta forums over the last 10 yr's where i just update info on some issue with what i find in other help forums. i do it so rusty and the others can see there is some sort of issue from the op system programming that might be causing the issues we find here. but i only do it for major pain in the but mm bugs. and sure enough most them are also found in other software that does the same thing mm does and they post in their forums for help on the issues, which makes it almost completely the cause of the op system's code. :D

just a non programers way of saying hey it might not be your code as others have same issue. 8)

Same prob here with at least one of my mp3s. I tried flushing the cache and data and let MMA rebuild its database. No luck. I played the file in PowerAmp and it displays the art just fine so it's got to be MMA specific. I rebooted into recovery and wiped the cache and Dalvic and rebooted into system. MMA still refuses to acknowledge the files album art. :(

Tried the mp3 again after the MMA update and it still shows no artwork.
