JPEG error #67.

Post by Teknojnky »

What is this?

I am having problems lately with my album art, I am not sure what is going on.

I had the majority of my library tagged with art, then I started playing with foobar 2000, the new music brainz picard taggers, and MusicIP mixers.

Somehow, I lost all of my art tags.

At first I thought it was foobar because I had done an album gain scan on my entire library.

But I haven't messed with foobar since and I am still having problems retagging files and keeping their art.

I do know that picard beta2 by default had set tags to id3 v2.4, but I have not done much tagging with it.

I am using MIP (MusicIP) 1.6 beta 3 but I don't think that it's messing up album art, but I am (and always have) used the 'archive analysis to tags' option.

I am getting this "JPEG error#67." dialog on some files, I don't know this is the cause, or the effect of my album art woes.

Anyone have ideas?

check and see if the jpg is right protected.

or if the jpg is too large.

get the jpgs and other album art down to a managable size.

i make mine all 300 x 300 pixels.

that is a good choice as it is small enough to not bloat the file size
if you do get it saved in to the tags.

but there are some others having trouble with taging art.

i just link to the art in another folder but then i don't use art on the mp3 portable so i don't need tag saving.

Or try to create a debug log.

I emailed a full debug log and an example file that has the error every time.

It was just under 4 megs, so if you did not get it let me know I will resend without the file.

The internal JPEG decoder in MM had some problems with the file you provided. It will be fixed in the next release.
