Can you let me know if it solves the issue for you as well?
I just updated to Build 1276 and no, the problem has not been solved.
I have now taken the time to document the whole thing in a little more detail.
The "gap" sounds perhaps more like a glitch and is only about 12 ms short. Therefore, it may only be audible under certain circumstances with appropriate music material (e.g. live recordings) and with headphones. But then it's quite good to hear.
In
this screenshot, you can see two stereo audio tracks that I recorded with Audacity from the same section of an album in the transition from one song to the next. The upper blue track was played back with MMA. The marked section is the audible gap. At the bottom of screenshot at "Selection", the lower time is the length of the selection in this case the length of the gap. The lower red track shows the same section in the recording played with foobar2000 Mobile from the same mp3 files. Here, the gap is neither visible nor audible.
I also made two screen recordings, one of MMA and the other of foobar2000 Mobile in which the same section of the same recording was played back. You can clearly hear the gap in the MMA screen recording (headphones may be necessary). To avoid any copyright issues, I will make them available again via a support ticket and post the ticket id here.
Best regards
Christian
