I think all the ones missing were previously tags

I think it was a mix of both. I have art in the music folders directly from older stuff, but then I also had many that I had searched and set in Mediamonkey directly, so I assume those would just be tags?

Yes, I know. I opened iTunes afterward to verify it could detect the iPod after MM could not.

Yes, in fact I just uninstalled and re-installed iTunes as directed in other support articles. ITunes does not autosync, but it detects the iPod right away. MediaMonkey still does not see the iPod.

No change after installing 5.0.4. Nothing appears under Devices and Services when I plug in the iPod.
