white stripe covering half of the player
I'm very new to MediaMonkey so I'm not sure if I'll be using the right terminology. I've got a white stripe covering about half of the player --the line at the bottom that shows how much of a track has already played. The sound doesn't stop at the beginning of that white strips, it keeps going. So thelittle button must still be moving behind the stripe, I just can't see it any more past that point.
How do I make that stripe go away? I've already tried restarting MM, and rebooting. I Googled about that issue and the only results I got were about the band The White Stripes.

Uh-oh, I don't know how to do that. I've Googled how to take the screenshot but I don't understand how to post the image to this forum. I don't see any button for attachments.
Can you give me idiot-proof instructions?
Just installed MediaMonkey a couple of days ago, so the latest version 4.0.7.1511.
I don't know if this is relevant, but in the process of cleaning up some tags earlier today, I found some sound files that were probably corrupted. While playing them, MM suddenly got stuck and refused to play those files or anything else. I shut down MM, deleted those files and rebooted. When I got back to MM I saw that stripe. Could that be the problem?

I'm using the skin that loads up automatically, but I have been wondering about other skins, actually. I just switched to Windows 7 and the transparency of the Aero theme makes the bottom of the MM screen *really* hard to see. So now I've got a player that's both transparent and half-covered with a stripe, LOL.

The white stripe is at the bottom of the MM screen toward the right side.

Hm, no idea. Never seen anything like that before. Is there any problem if you run regular MM (not unskinned like you are running now?). Any addons or plugins besides default MM?

Re: white stripe covering half of the player
This is completely unmodified MM, fresh out of the box when I installed it a few days ago.
The screen looks odd because I'm on a new Win 7 computer with an Aero theme. The borders of my windows are translucent. I'll probably change it to Classic, because that transparent effect makes it very hard to navigate around the desktop. It's particularly difficult with MM because that translucent section includes the player.

No, but you are running unskinned MM. The regular version of MM doesn't look like that, it's themed/skinned. Try to run the regular version and see what happens.tiggerlou wrote:

Re: white stripe covering half of the player
I've see that for months now, it shows up in different ways on different systems and all i've got was it didnt happen on their computer. It shows up as a vertical white line on the side of the float player in mm 3 skins used in mm4 on my system, but its the same error just showing in different place this time, it first was a white square 2 years ago when it first showed up but we got it fixed then. Still cant fix it yet ever since i got mm4 i've had it.
