Equalizers are difficult for everyone (even audio experts)because of the inherent nature of what they deal with.
There are guides on the net that tell what they mean in laymen's terms (like, this is the bassier side or treble side, etc)

Generally, you should just play around with them until you find something you like (everyone's hearing is different).
And as far as trying to get what the artist intended, it's difficult because you aren't just playing a recording "as is".
You are playing it through whatever "equipment" you have (soundcards, speakers, etc.) which might not accurately reproduce the way the sound(s)
was recorded.

Link seems to be broken. Can anyone help?

i have mine on my download site for skins. the reason they have been removed from monkey is not really known but it seems that each users computer differes in sound quailty because of different sound cards and speakers.
so i believe they just left them out and make them for the user to get.

but if you want to use mine you can download them from my skin download page or if someone has mine and knows your email they can send them to you.

by the way the automatic eq preset switching script works wonders in monkey. you can get it and use it all the time and never worry if they right preset is going to be there as it will be if you made one or got one. :D so check the scripting room in the forum for that script.
