iPod Touch Not Recognized

Post by Lerxyst »

When I plug in my iPod Touch, MediaMonkey does not see it at all. Windows sees it, and iTunes sees it. iTunes is not auto-synching. It was working one minute, synched fine, and then I wanted to resynch and it had disappeared from MM. I went ahead and updated for the iPod and iTunes to the latest version, no change in behavior.

No change after installing 5.0.4. Nothing appears under Devices and Services when I plug in the iPod.

Yes, in fact I just uninstalled and re-installed iTunes as directed in other support articles. ITunes does not autosync, but it detects the iPod right away. MediaMonkey still does not see the iPod.

Hi,
iTunes must not be started at time MM is starting.

Yes, I know. I opened iTunes afterward to verify it could detect the iPod after MM could not.

I have the same problem. Windows 10, MMW5 5.0.3.2627. Downloaded the 64-bit desktop iTunes from the Help Content page. Uninstalled old iTunes, installed new iTunes. iPod does not show up under devices. Did the support ticket analysis yield results?

Sorry, I don't know the ticket number. I am another customer who signed onto this thread because I have the same problem. Should I submit my own ticket?

Do make sure the device isn't disabled under Devices & Services in MediaMonkey.

Please capture the connecting of the device in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86643

This will help a developer analyze why this happens on your setup.
