After the most recent update .2827, I'm seeing double. I know this has happened to me before, years ago but I can't find the post. I've confirmed that all the folders have single copies, but every song shows up double in MM5.
I ran a DB cleanup with everything, same.
I ran a full rescan, same.
My music files live on a Synology NAS accessing them over a UNC path.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do the duplicates have the same Path or a different Path (verify full Path)?

Yes, that's the issue. It's reading from the UNC path and the mapped drive. Should unmap the drive?
Re: Everything has doubled in MM5, not in reality
UNC would be preferred. However if you don't scan the incorrect Path, the files won't duplicate.
What was the original Path scanned? Mapped or UNC?

That's the thing, I don't recall switching it to scan UNC, but it's currently set to UNC. I have had a mapped drive for years but was planning to go to UNC for the centralized DB option, but I hadn't touched anything yet.
How do I purge the mapped drive songs from the dB?
Thanks.

You can delete from the Location node.
Do note that if you remove the Mapped Drive that the files will be removed from any Playlists they're on and unsaved data (like Play History) is lost.

Re: Everything has doubled in MM5, not in reality
Is there any way to preserve the playlists by exporting and reimporting after doing a find and replace with the UNC path?
Re: Everything has doubled in MM5, not in reality
I'd remove the new UNC files, then use Locate Moved/Missing Files to locate the Mapped files on the UNC Paths, after first making a database backup.
Of course you can export Playlists.
