Recently whenever I try to sync my cell phone or tablet with the Database\Library on my PC an error message pops up on my PC saying "The database seems to be corrupted. Attempt to fix it?"
If I click on yes it appears to fix the database, however when I try to initiate a sync I am confronted with the same message.
If I click on no

Would you like to restart MediaMonkey in Safe mode?
And i am given the usual choices "Restart", "Restart In Safe mode", or "Continue"
I have also tried Database Management and checked all maintenance options to no avail.
Any suggestions, I am a little apprehensive about "Clear Database" and "Reset Settings" options as my Library is pretty extensive, and yes I do have backups.

Re: Sync/database error
I did what was suggested in the article, delete the MM.db file and force a rebuild of the database and all was well for a minute. It appears to be suffering from the same problem, I was a quarter of the way through a wireless sync when an error popped up on the PC stating that the database appears to be corrupt and if I would like to attempt to fix it, at which point the program crashes if yes is selected. The part that makes this annoying is that the sync operation is halted and cannot continue after the Windows version crashes.
Any other suggestions, I am really looking to maintain all the work I have put in to this library as far as star ratings and such.
thanks

This may indicate that the storage the database is on is failing.

Have been using this program for years and never had this problem before. I have also lost all my smart playlists for some reason, have all turned to "notsmart" playlists which don't even seem to be populated. Strange
Thanks

Re: Sync/database error
AutoPlaylists are database only, thus when you remove the database they're lost as AutoPlaylists. You may have exported them at some point which is why scanning picked them up, but as static Playlists.
If a failing hard drive is the cause it wouldn't have been an issue before. Do you have a different hard drive in your system, that at least for now, you could setup the database file?
If you have a backup of the database you could use that, as long as there is backup from before the database become malformed. It would also have your AutoPlaylists as AutoPlaylists.

Re: Sync/database error
I have recently built a new computer (8 mos) and the database lives on the C:/ drive which is a fairly new ( maybe 1 year old ) Samsung 980 Pro 1TB SSD, so I don't think that is it besides it syncs with other devices with no database error. I will include a PC summary if you wish, but this whole MM5 arrangement has been living on this system quite nicely since its build. I thought it might be the newest version of MM5 as I did an upgrade a while back but now I am wondering if this is not a network issue as I have updated my network recently to a mesh system Deco XE75 6E system ( It has been working on the network for a couple of weeks now). I have attempted restoring a back up which did not work, I am now doing a USB Sync to see if this might correct the database error and allow my wifi sync to work again. Other times I have had syncing problems in the past it always seems to be on the android end ( my phone or tablet ) not on the PC. WiFi Syncing is all that seems to be affected and only between my PC and a Blackview Tab 16 Pro ( which previously worked and synced normally over WiFi ) all other iterations of MediaMonkey on all the other devices I have are functioning properly, Samsung S23Ultra syncs fine.

You can capture the Sync causing the malformed error to happen in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log and database file to a Support Ticket: viewtopic.php?t=86643
