Tags don't update in MM5

I'm not a fan of the built in tagger in MM5, so I've continued to use MM4 and the far superior Discogs tagger to keep my tags updated. However, when I launch MM5 the old tag remains. What do I need to do to ensure the tags synchronise?

Do you have the Add / Rescan File To Library set to run at StartUp?

This will update the MMW5 library with the tag information and may help.

Yes, I do but it doesn't change anything. However, I've subsequently realised I need to manually select update tags in MM4 to ensure it transfers across tag information to MM5.

Then likely MediaMonkey 4 isn't set to save on tag changes (Tools > Options > Tags & Playlists).

Isnt the setting to "Update tags" meant to transfer the info from your DB (old info) to the track, which would thus overwrite what MM4 just did?

If you want to read the tags from the track into the DB, should you not have "update tags" turned off??

The suggestion is about MMW4 being set to update tags on tag changes. Do manual tag changes get saved (ie not using Discogs, but manually tagging a file) and seen by MMW5 after rescanning the files? Is MMW4 set to modify the timestamp on tag changes (and MMW5 set to update file info from tags when rescanning)?
