Opening Properties sometimes opens play menu as well [#21158]

Post by vegright »

This is more of an annoyance than a bug. But since it is unintended and inconsistent behavior, figured I would report it.

This is for 3044 and several previous versions. Reproducible in "Browser", "List" and "List (by Album)" view. Reproducible if single track, or multiple tracks selected.

Using <CTRL>-<ALT>-P to open Properties will sometimes also open the Play menu. Properties dialog operates as intended when this happens. You may have to do this more than once. I verified (slowly) that I hit keys in proper order (i.e. not <ALT>-P then <CTRL>) to reproduce.

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you using?

Why not using SHIFT+ENTER to Open Properties?

Hi Vegright,

Thanks for the report. It took a few tries, but I'm able to replicate this as well with build 3044.

Why not using SHIFT+ENTER to Open Properties?
Because I did not know that was an option. the GUI lists it a <CTRL><ALT>-P. I will use that instead. Thanks.

Good, at least now you have alternative way till we figure out where is the cause and make fix(es) so you can use whatever you want.

Thank you for reporting.

fyi, this issue has been fixed in build 3045. I'm no longer able to replicate it, but if you can confirm as well, that'd be great. Thanks!
