Playing tracks randomly
Is there a way to make MM3 play random tracks from the library ? I dont want to add material to the playlist and get it to shuffle- I want it to pick tracks from my ENTIRE library and play them randomly.

use Auto Dj. set it up to pick tracks from the all accessible files playlist.
set it up to have only 2 on the now playing list at all times.
turn on shuffle.
enjoy the music.

Not sure if the same in V3 but in V2 I simply pick up the "Accessible tracks" created by MM In the playlists and then shuffle.danhackley wrote:Is there a way to make MM3 play random tracks from the library ? in mm 3 you have an auto dj feature it will allow you to keep so many songs in the now playing list. if you set it to only 2 songs. then it will always keep the last played and the currently playing song in the list. and by telling the auto dj feature to select the songs from the same playlist you do.
the all accessible files. then it can pick the entire library.
by turning on the players shuffle it shuffles the selection of the song from the playlist before it puts it in the auto dj controlled now playing playlist.
which is just what he wanted.

I've tried this and it hasn't worked. If I select a song from an album then it will only play songs from that album and if I search for a song it will only play the songs that appear from the search. I think I'm going to have to go back to musikcube it's the only thing I can get to work. I've tried foobar and can't get that to work how I want it to either

you use the playlists not the the albums or library.
in the options for the autodj you need to tell it to pick songs from a playlist that you have all the songs in. unless they are seasonal songs. so i guess you would need two or more playlists one for each season or mood?
