Media Monkey Scripts website

Post by BigMatty »

Hey guys,

Isn't everyone a little annoyed at searching through this forum to find scripts, updates, etc etc?

I'm a little surprised there isn't a dedicated media monkey scripting website showcasing all scripts available.

Scripters can login and manage their scripts. Add an update, write to the changelog, provide screenshots, add links to their homepage or back to this forum for discussion.

Mediamonkey users could browse scripts by category, or tags, or rating, for an easier way to download things :)

Other features...
RSS feeds for the latest updates
Users can 'watch' a script to be notified via email when it updates.

I guess something kinda like how the firefox addon site works:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

So, any takers? :D

been in the works for about a year and half now but with the errors of the new format for mediamonkey being so numerous they had to slow up on that, just got word they are still trying to get both done.

but we all know the program will always take priority over the website stuff. :)

Do you know how far into this website they are? Is it close?

How would they feel about someone else starting one up?

you can of course start you own site to host your files. i have my skins on my site but i ran out of room. trixmoto and morten and nohitter151 and the other skinners and scripters have their own sites.

but as far as the official site it can only be done by the developers because it will be used in the install package's for the scripts and skins as the url to find more scripts and skins or updates to the scripts or skins.

how far in to it are they? i have no idea i just asked the other day and got the reply today they were still working on it but going slowly. as i posted in the first reply.

but as in my signiture i'm just a user of mediamonkey i am not a programmer for it. nor can i even program anything other then web pages or modify some vbs html or javascript html.

so you posted the thread in sort of the right time for me to answer since i just asked myself :D

Unofficially, something is cooking, but I can't tell you more as details are not yet concluded.
