[Solved] MM is very quiet when playing tracks

Hey all, MM is playing songs very quietly and I cannot work out why or how to increase the volume. MM Gold.

Volume is at max, EQ is off. It is still quiet with volume levelling on (set to +125dB with anti-clipping on) or off.

Here is what the MM output (left) looks like compared to WMP output (right) for the same track. The actual MP3 waveform is the same as the WMP output.


It's not just with this one track but all tracks.

Increasing the preamp in the EQ even just a little bit makes the track clip and sound AWFUL.

Any ideas?

What happens when you disable Level Playback Volume in the Play menu?

I have absolutely no explanation for it but when I turned on my computer this morning the sound is back to being loud. I didn't even change anything

automatic update from ms. must have wanted to reboot and was hogging cycles until you rebooted? is my guess
