[B2] Bitrate not updated in Library after conversion
In Beta 2, if you have some files in, say, MP3 256 VBR bitrate and use the MM's conversion tool to convert it to another bitrate like MP3 192 CBR, the library still shows the old bitrate AFTER CONVERSION. Even if you do a rescan, the old values still show up.
The only way to make it show the correct values is removing the files from the library and adding them again.

This seems to be the same problem I have. Read this thread for more information:gege wrote:In Beta 2, if you have some files in, say, MP3 256 VBR bitrate and use the MM's conversion tool to convert it to another bitrate like MP3 192 CBR, the library still shows the old bitrate AFTER CONVERSION. OK, let me add a few more information:
- I'm using WinXP SP2 32bit, so it's not related to Vista;
- There's no Access Denied error. The file IS correctly converted (Checked using Windows Explorer).
- It's not only column Bitrate showing the original bitrate. Properties dialog shows it too. So it looks like the Library it's not being updated at all.
- Pressing F5 doesn't seem to help. And neither does a simple rescan.
Only deleting the tracks from Library and adding them again will do it;

Regarding the rescan. Did you select "Update track info from tags when rescanning files" and deselect "Only for files with changed timestamp or size"?

With "Update track info from tags when rescanning files" selected and "Only for files with changed timestamp" deselected, bitrate IS updated after a rescan.
I was rescaning with both selected.
But the main problem remains: Library is not updated after conversion.
[Edit]: Some more details. In fact, after conversion, bitrate is updated. But after a MM restart, the old values come up.
