Very disapointed about V3

Post by Commerzpunk. »

Hi,

i really liked the monkey, but version 3.0 is getting me mad.
First of all, i cant find a way to convert my database into the new program. I even cant find the current database. Forum gives no information, nothing in the helpfiles, noting in the faqs. And at all, i cant see any improvement from 2.x to 3.x. Why the change?

I thought the database is the most important thing, the core of each installation and collection! Why is there no menue-option to import or convert database? Why is NOTHING in the preferences that says a word about the database location or settings?

Really bad! I will lose all my database information with a programm that I payed a lifetime licence for :-(

Not sure what you mean, I can see links posted in the forum if I'm not logged in yet.

Hello World :-)

At first, I want to say sorry!
I was in a rush, i couldnt find the information as fast and as good as i wanted.

Now my MMV3 runs well, my database seems to be OK, and i can use this nice programm more often with my new computer now.

But still, i have some strange feelings, imagining i was a newbie. Why dont the developers build the sections and menue-items into the preferences to change database location and so on?

And i still feel there is not much improvement from V2 to V3. Its still a very good software, but where are the really big improvements? Maybe its just the way i use MM, but for me it looks like the developers just made the application more pretty and stylish ;-)

Its the MEDIAmonkey, and i still cant organize my DVDs, CDs, movies, pictures, youtube-bookmarks, and so on.

Did you ever take a look at http://datacrow.net/index.html ?
