i have posted in the other alpha questions and feedback threads about mm3 crashing or locking up after about 2 hours or less.

the error seems to have been the dsp plugin i had moved from the old computer to the new one the plug in was out of date and no longer useful it appears to have been causing the lockup.

media monkey 3 alpha 3 seems to still have trouble with the floating player and the now playing playlist.

if you turn off the now playing playlist when using the main player then go to the floating player it seems to work for awhile

but shortly it will not allow the right clicking of the player
to get the restore context menu it keeps giving the context menu for the player setup.

also if you turn the now playing list off when using the floating player then go to the main player to pick another playlist.
then go back to the floating player.

the now playing playlist wont respond to any thing you have to go back to the main player to get it to show up. but when you go back to the floating player with it showing the now playing playlist. the list once again wont respond properly to any click's,

not sure why? but that is what i found in several hours of playing the player that is the only stuff that happened this time.

Something simular happened to me last night. I somehow moved the player to a spot where it couldn't be moved from obscuring the now playing list. I fiddled around for a long time, hiding one then the other. The player stopped being draggable and wanted to be along side the now playing and kept squishing it.

for some reason i am getting some songs that play a sharp pitch note in the middle of the songs that was not there before
i got mm 3. i also am getting some songs not the same ones
but other ones that have some compression atifacts in them
that were not in the songs before i got mm 3.

i wonder could the clipping prevention be messed up and not working? or not doing the work the way it is designed to work.? 8) :o

1. Threads for Volume Leveling are terminated, if the workstation is looked (for example by Screensaver)

2. If I select a Volume via System Tray (10%, 20%, ...) the entry isn't checked/ticked, so I always have to try which percentage I have to use to increase/decrease the volume

That's it, for now

I can't reproduce this, can you always? Do you have a debug log?

Please check it out in the next alpha and in case of trouble e-mail me a debug log again. There have been some changes and so I think that it should work fine now.

any one else notice the trouble with the dockable windows in the monkey skin? i just got the error again, i might have seen it before but not for a long time.?

anyway any of the dockable windows when taken to the right dock will jump behind the list view

they don't resize hortizontaly and make strange images of all
windows when resized verticaly.?

the list view is not moving from the spot it is in. which is
the left border of it is in the middle of the screen?

i presume that is from not being albe to resize the directory tree hortizontaly ? all things use to move in either direction.

this is happening with any and every mm 3 skin.

no report is filed because it does not crash?

:-?

Custom fields

Post by hemessen »

Bug: I use custom fields. When I change something in the track properties, for example artist, date or genre, it resets all values in the 3 custom fields.

Couple of issues:

1) Playing .ogg q=7 files I now get overlap/crossfade before track ends, into next track. In fact I can't even drag slider to the very end of the tune. I have not downloaded any special crossfade plug-in. Same tracks work fine with MM2.5.

2) Selecting a lot (7k!) of tracks and using 'convert to', the dropdown boxes for where to put the converted tracks (i.e. options previously used) don't seem to ever work. The 'options' box to the right (to select a new option) works OK, just a bit slow. I have had the dropdown work one time, after maybe 15 minutes.

3) The .ogg output converter is pretty slow. Need the 'lancer' version which will use multiple Cores, SSE3 etc. (see dbpoweramp downloads!). This is 5x or 10x faster on my machine, really!

4) I can't register my upgrade to Gold version using 2.5 registration codes. Not sure if that is a bug or a feature.
