Creating Playlist

Post by Alienbody »

Hello Mediamonkey-Team, hello everybody

i'm new here, but a big fan of mediamonkey! And i would be an even greater one, if the following feature could be implemented ;-)

creating playlists is actually not that comfortable. especially when you offen change your playlists.
It would be nice to add a track to an existing playlist, just by right-click the track, using its contextmenu.

This picture should illustrate it

This would be very helpful for playlist-fanatics ;-)

Thanks in advanced

It already exists! Send To->Playlist
Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix Find More From Same - Custom Search. | Transfer PlayStat & Copy-Paste Tags/AlbumArt between any tracks.
Tagging Inconsistencies Do you think you have your tags in order? Think again...
Play History & Stats Node Like having your Last-FM account stored locally, but more advanced.
Case & Leading Zero Fixer Works on filenames too!

the menu that you show is the one you get when you click on the playlists node in the tree. you have to select the song file in the main list view and then right click on it to see all the context menu options for it. :D

Hello,
A real nubee here, so i apologize ahead of time if this has been resolved or i should post somewhere else.
I would like to see a random feature in creating a playlist . For instance: I create a playlist called "bob" then i would like to see a drop down menu allowing to have a choise of say "random 25" random 50" etc where MediaMonkey goes into my collection and randomly add the the number i want. that would be great. would would be even better if the chosing could be in genre, rating or year etc

That's already available in Autoplaylists.

Right Click on Playlist Tree and Create new Auto Playlist, if you do that on existing Auto Play list you will get ability to edit its criteria.

Additionally If you Create Advanced Search that search can be saved as Auto Playlist, ....

There are also few other approaches.

Ok my question is probably really simple. At least I hope it is. When playlists are created they only play in the alphabetic order in my car. That's the way my car stereo is designed to play. Is there a way to create a playlist that will allow me to number the tracks I want to play in the order the playlist is created? thx :D

Does your car understand playlists or just reads the files as found on your device? I assume the latter.

This means you just need to adjust the mask used to save the files to the device and use something like <Auto Number> <Artist> - <Title>.
