Lyrics and Comment Viewer 2.2 (2011-04-24) [MM3+4]
I think it can, but the best option, IMO, isdypsis wrote:Can it be run from outside the Library?Vyper wrote:Couldn't you copy one of your music files to a different location and run the cleaner on that to find out?
1) Backup the Library
2) Choose a bunch of problematic files and make a backup of them in a safe place.
3) In MM, use "Tools > Advanced Tag Management > Clean ID3v1 and ID3v2 Tags..." on the chosen files.
4) Use an external tool ( MP3Tag? ) to verify if the Tag was really removed.
5) In MM, use "Tools > Advanced Tag Management > Synchronize Tags..." on the files
6) Use the external tool again to check what happened: ID3 tag or Vorbis tag?
I have already cleaned up my FLAC tags using a couple of methods as described in this thread.
But if MM can do a clean job, then that would probably be a simpler way.
Or maybe a script would be nice.

This looks cool, thanks!
Doesn´t work
I've downloaded both, Lyricator and the Lyrics and Comment viewer. Saved them in MediaMonkey/Scripts, when I click them and the install windows opens in MM3 itsays always ERROR. What happens?steelydan wrote:Thats real cool man. Once i upgrade to MM3, Ill be sure to grab that. Nice work
Thanks 4 your help

Re: Doesn´t work
First thing: the files you've downloaded are not supposed to be placed in "MediaMonkey\Scripts" necessarily. They are MMIP* installers! Save them in any folder. Them double-click each one and let MediaMonkey do the installation...Roberto wrote:I've downloaded both, Lyricator and the Lyrics and Comment viewer. Regarding the error, we need more details:
1) Is the error occurring to both packages? or just for one of them?
2) What is your MediaMonkey version?
3) What is your Windows version? In case it's Vista, you need to run MediaMonkey as Administrator, in order to get packages installed correctly. Do this:
- Right click MM icon and choose "Run as... > Administrador";
- Leave MM open;
- Open the folder where you've saved the MMIP packages and double click a package.
* MMIP stands for "MediaMonkey Installation Package".

Thank you. I am using both this and Lyricator without any problems. (MM3 latest build, Vista)

Hi gege,
wonderful script. But i have one asks for one off the next versions.
The Script works "only" with the frame USLT (unsyncr. Lyrics) from the ID3V2 Version.
Can you also the SYLT (syncr. Lyrics) Frame read in?
The time code information must be ignored.
thanks

OK, guys, we finally have a new version of Lyrics Viewer, with plenty of enhancements!
But first a big thanks to:
- trixmoto, for your permission to use MonkeyRok's code here;
- DreadM, for contributing with german translation, Sansa theme, beta testing and lots of suggestions (plus a dropped Agora theme);
- nynaevelan, for contributing with beta-testing and the idea for Agora theme.
What's new?

Version 2.0: Sep 27, 2008
- Enhanced: HTML code generated by script was completely re-written. Layout is not based on <TABLE> element anymore. Plenty of <DIV> and <SPAN> elements were included, in order to allow much more complex/elaborated designs.
- Enhanced: All themes had their CSS re-done, in order to make them compatible with the new HTML code. Most of them have benefitted a lot of this re-write. Headers will now stretch correctly when all the fields are enabled or when some field spans across two lines of text. (Play with 'Songbird' and 'Blue Quote' by enabling/disabling some fields or widening/narrowing the panel and you'll see what I'm talking about).
- Enhanced: Most images are now saved in PNG format, with extreme filesize optimization provided by PNGGauntlet.
- Enhanced: New themes and language files are auto-discovered now. No need to change script's code anymore, just put the files in the correct folder and you're done. Auto-discovery code was ripped-off MonkeyRok... again.
- Changed: Each theme is stored in its own folder now. Folder name will be used as the theme name. CSS file has to be named 'style.css'.
- Added: New 'Forum' theme. Uses complex formatting capabilities, provided by the new HTML code.
- Added: New 'Agora' theme. Based on a v1.x theme sent by nynaevelan. I was supposed to simply convert it to v2.0 for her, but I couldn't resist and made an almost completely new theme. Matches very well the 'Agora' MM skin, by DreadM.
- Added: New 'Sansa' theme. Matches the 'Sansa' MM skin, by DreadM. (Original design by DreadM, with small changes and conversion to new code format by me).
- Added: 'German' translation, by DreadM.
Now, go get it in the first post... but please
