Using version 1.5 the options panel is set to use white text - not good using the unskinned version of MM. Also there is a typo in "databse".

Edit the file \Scripts\Auto\Last.vbs with a text editor and delete line 417:

CreateLbl.Common.FontColor=16777208

The typo is on line 132.

It will be fine after restarting MM.

Looks like you are using an old version of the script. Update to the latest 1.5 and you should be fine.

Just the feature I was missing. It's surprising they didn't include it in MM as it is a basic feature in music management

I don't know if it does, but I think it's not necessary anymore. Now you can recreate its functionality using only auto-playlists.
Here is how:

1 - Right-click on Playlists node and choose New AutoPlaylist...
2 - In Name field type 'Last 100 tracks Played'
3 - In Search choose Music
4 - Click on Advanced tab
5 - Click on 'Add Search criteria...'
6 - Add a 'Played# > 0' criteria
7 - Set 'Show at most' to '100' files
8 - Set 'Sort order' to 'Last Played' 'Z..A'
9 - Click OK
