Not in PLaylist - to edit

Post by coolbeingsS »

It would be most excellent to add to "To Edit" menu - "Not in PLaylist"

I have many rated files, but they are not in a playlist and I want them to be, but I do not know which ones are not in the playlist.

Allthough not what you are requesting you might want to check out auto-playlists. They auto-add songs based on your criteria.

Because of auto-playlists it might be hard to implement a not on playlist node.

Don't think that it will do the thing I ask.

It really sucks that this cannot be done.

I have many rated tracks which I want to put into playlists, but I have no idea which are not in the playlist.

A script or a node of such kind would be great.

Check out Magic Nodes. You could probably create a node with an advanced SQLFilter that give you what you want.

Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix Find More From Same - Custom Search. | Transfer PlayStat & Copy-Paste Tags/AlbumArt between any tracks.
Tagging Inconsistencies Do you think you have your tags in order? Think again...
Play History & Stats Node Like having your Last-FM account stored locally, but more advanced.
Case & Leading Zero Fixer Works on filenames too!

Thanx for those, but the downside of them is that I have to browse every track and only then I can see if it is in a playlist or not. And that will take forever.

Whereas if there was a feature, where i just select to view tracks not yet in playlists and once I see them, just sort them by Rating, 1st those with and then withouth. Then I could see my Ratated tracks but not in playlists.

Well this Magic Node finds all songs not in any ordinary playlist. (Unfortunately there's no acceptable way to also consider Auto-Playlists.)

Code: Select all

Songs Not In Any Playlist|SQL filter: not exists (select * from PlaylistSongs where IDSong=songs.ID)\<artist>
Just click on the node and then on the rating column in the main window.

you got songs that are rated?

you want them in a playlist for only rated songs.

click on the playlist node

click on the all accessible files playlist.

let the computer find them all.

right click on the top field bar and select the rating field.

now slide the list over until you find the field for rating. left click on that field name.

they are sorted then by the ratings.

so then just select all the songs with the ratings.
and send them to a new playlist.

bingo you have a playlist with all your rated songs.
